Blue Point Oysters are our most popular species of oyster, and for good reason! Their large size coupled with their salty taste and meaty texture makes them the quintessential oyster.

Live Oysters

Our oysters can be served raw or cooked, but in order to do either, you’ll have to shuck the oyster. To do this, you will need a towel and an oyster knife (a pairing knife can be used instead, but with added risk of injury). Simply hold the oyster flat-side facing upwards in your hand wrapped in a towel. Insert the knife at the hinge, or between the shell directly in front of the hinge. The hinge is the area where the two halves of the shell are directly connected. Twist the knife and enjoy.

While all of our oysters can be enjoyed raw, you can also cook them by grilling, baking, broiling, or frying. To cook, simply shuck the oyster and remove half of the shell, leaving the meat and brine in the remaining half shell. Then place the oyster shell side down on the grill, or on a baking sheet in the oven, and cook as directed in your recipe.
