Pete’s Garlic Butter Mussels are a farmed raised product of Chile, meaning their mussels are the western blue mussel, which have a strong flavor and meaty texture. Each package also contains two knobs of savory garlic herb butter.
Cooking Tips & Recipes
Microwave: (4-5 minutes)
Remove tray from sleeve. Do not puncture tray film. Do not prepare in toaster oven. Do not defrost before cooking. Place frozen tray in microwave. Cook on full (100%) power for 4-5 minutes. Cook to a minimum internal temperature of 145°F. After cooking let tray stand for 1-2 minutes. Remove film from tray to prevent overcooking.
Container and contents will be hot.
Stovetop: (12-15 minutes)
Remove all packaging. Place all frozen mussels and butter sauce in a sauce pot. Cover pot and cook on low/medium heat for 12-15 minutes. Stir occasionally until mussels open and sauce is melted. Cook to a minimum internal temperature of 145°F.
